Friends 2 - young people who care about their library.

             

      Lizards in the Library ? Absolutely !

               Stop in and see the three lizards that reside in the library. 

                              Fresh crickets are always appreciated.

            Next meeting is September 13th, (Sat.) at 10 am. 

We will be discussing the events for October (sleep over, Librarian for a day).   

We will also be decorating pumpkins to be used as display in the Library.  I found a giant lizard pattern for the parade float.  We can talk about finding folks to sew for us.  See you then.  Diana

 

                                          

Update on our 7/12/08 Meeting:

1.  Plants are ready to sell.  Need volunteers to come to Farmer's Market & sell.

2.  Librarian for a Day, and a Library Sleep over are planned for October 2008 as part of the National

        Friends of the  Library Week.

3.  Next year the Friends will once again have a float in the parade and F2 will be part of it!

     Don't wait - Join Now. 

4.  Next activity; September 13th, 2008 at 10 am.  We will be "crafting".  All members are welcome.

5.  Two new members joined !  Welcome!

Friends 2 is for young people who want to be involved in promoting and supporting the Marshall Community Library. 

The group is a part of the Friends of the MCL.

Friends 2 Members will:

  * help with a few fundraising events

          (1 or 2 per year)

   * learn how to promote the library

    *be the Friends Leaders of tomorrow

Dues: 

$1 per youth unless your family has already paid Friends dues.

Meetings: 

2nd Thursday of   Jan. March, May, July, Sept, Nov. at 5:15 at the Library.

     Meeting attendance IS NOT mandatory.  We will keep in touch other ways.
