Beginning Tuesday, January 26th, the library will once again be open to walk-ins and browsing.
We will be open during our normal business hours: M-W 9-7, Th-F 9-5, Sat 9-3
However, it's possible that we will have to temporarily adjust hours on short notice based on staff availability.
Are Curbside Pick-ups still available?:
Yes! We will continue to provide contactless pick-up in our lobby for those who prefer it. We can also arrange to deliver your items to your car at the back entrance by the book drop. Just call us and let us know what you prefer.
After re-opening in June of 2020, our goal was to not shut down again. However, as cases spiked in November, we decided it was safest for all to further limit numbers and durations of time spent in the library.
Our goal is to remain open, but we'll respond to the pandemic as it develops. If that means some stop-and-start closing and re-opening, then that's what we'll do.
What can I do in the library?:
You can browse the shelves and check out materials and pick up holds. Our computers, copier, and fax machine will be available for public use, but we are still asking patrons to limit their time spent in the library to 1 hour or less. We will also still observe a building capacity of about 12 people at a time. Seating is limited, as we're trying to limit situations in which people linger for extended periods of time. Masks will continue to be mandatory and we have free masks available for those who don't have one. We have plenty of sanitation wipes and hand sanitizer available for the public and for staff. Our bathrooms are open.
What about programs?:
We will continue to offer virtual story times, take-and-make craft kits, virtual book clubs, and our virtual Winter Reading Program for the time being.
Village Post Office:
All Village Post Office services will resume. That means you can once again buy stamps and send pre-paid and priority flat rate packages.
The Book Drop:
The outside book drop remains open.
