Friends endowment fund.

In 2017, the Friends of the Library announced the creation of an endowment fund with the dividends going directly to the Marshall Library in perpetuity.  The endowment fund was then given a major gift by the Finke family in memory of Douglas Finke, a past resident, with a contribution of $10,000.  This fund will provide a yearly check to the Marshall Library Board.  Here is the direct URL to make a donation.

Anyone can add any amount to this endowment fund via three options -
1.  donate to the Madison Community Foundation, 2 Science Ct, Suite 3, Madison WI  53711,
2.  donate to the Marshall LIbrary Board at 605 Waterloo Road, Marshall WI,
3.  send a check to the Friends of the Marshall Library at the library address, 605 Waterloo Road, Marshall WI  53559
Any gift check should state that the gift is for the Marshall Community Library (MCL) Endowment Fund.

Gifts to this fund can be cash, securities, life insurance, retirement accounts, charitable gift annuity, or even real estate.  The Madison Community Foundation will administer all gifts made to the endowment fund. They have a long and successful history of responsible stewardship.  Visit their web site at to see the many options for giving or call the library director at 608-655-3123 for more information.
